Car Strikes Tractor Near Kimberly Injuring Two

Kimberly, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Two people on a farm tractor were injured this morning after a car struck the tractor. Idaho state police say the accident on Highway 30 mile marker 226 near Kimberly, happened when Izeak Ragains, 19 of Kimberly was westbound in a 1996 Kia Sephia. Ragains tried to slow for the tractor but police say his brakes failed. Ragains tried to swerve into the other lane of travel to miss the tractor. In doing so, Ragains lost control and side swiped the left side of the tractor. The impact caused the passenger of the tractor, Raul Centano 56, to be ejected. Centano and Centano Hernandez were both transported by ambulance for medical assistance. Police say the tractor had a spray tank attached loaded with a weed killer. Police continue to investigate the accident.
