Some Mandatory Evacuation Orders Lifted In Blaine County
UPDATE 8:25 PM - Pre-Evacuation Notification Lifted: At this time the Blaine County Sheriff is announcing that the Pre-Evacuation status has been lifted for the portions of Ketchum and Sun Valley on the east side of the bike path from Elkhorn Rd. and Hwy 75 north to Saddle Rd. This does not include Warm Springs and Lane Ranch.
Please Note: the west side of the bike path in Ketchum from Elkhorn Rd. and Hwy 75 north to Saddle Rd. will remain on Pre-Evacuation Notice.
Please maintain situational awareness and be prepared to depart again should conditions change.
UPDATE 11:25 AM - Residents of Ohio Gulch and the Heatherlands will be allowed to return to pre-evacuation status
UPDATE 11:00 am - Effective immediately, the residents of the Valley Club will be allowed to return. The sheriff’s office said everyone must use the north Valley Club entrance via Ohio Gulch. Do not use the North Buttercup entrance from the highway.
Ketchum, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Blaine County Sheriff has lifted the Mandatory Evacuation order for one area. At 9am this morning the Indian Creek area is now at Pre-Evacuation status. The sheriff said to get to the area residents must travel east on McKercher Blvd – the Albertson’s light – then North on Buttercup to Indian Creek Road. Residents must not use the North Buttercup entrance from the Highway. The Indian Creek area will remain on pre-evacuation status meaning that those living in that area may need to leave immediately should conditions change.
