6.6-Million Dollars Worth Of Pot Removed From Sawtooth National Forest

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Over 3300 Marijuana Plants with a street value of 6.6 million dollars or $2,000 a plant. That’s what Jay Heward the Cassia County Sheriff say they eradicated in the Sawtooth National Forest yesterday. The sheriff’s office were assisted by local, state and federal agencies used a helicopter to airlift the Marijuana. That’s due to the remote location and terrain, the Sheriff said. The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Gooding County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Creek Fire, Life Run Ambulance, Idaho State Police, Idaho National Guard, Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Forest Service, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for assistance.
