Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A Twin Falls Restaurant was damaged by an early morning fire. A neighbor living near Garibaldi’s Mexican Restaurant reported seeing flames about 5:45 a.m. on the roof of the building. Crews were able to control the fire in less than 10 minutes. The building suffered fire and smoke damage. A witness we spoke with thought he saw a lightning strike nearby, but that has not been confirmed. The fire department is continuing their investigation into the exact cause. The facility was closed at the time of the fire and there are no reports of injuries. Authorities closed Filer avenue between Fillmore and Polk Streets while firefighters continued to battle hot spots.

Garibaldi's staff tells Idaho's First News the restaurant will be closed for about six weeks. For the Garibaldi's faithful, the closest locations to the Filer one are at the Magic Valley Mall and Jerome.
