Traffic Between Gooding And Wendell Slowed Due To Traffic Accident
UPDATE 3:16PM - Idaho State Police say that Carmen Steele was eastbound on 2100 South in a 2005 Chrysler Sebring. E. Beard, 23 of Moore, Idaho was traveling south in a semi truck. Steele failed to yield at the stop sign and struck Beard's truck She succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 3 hours.
UPDATE 12:05 PM The Idaho State Police has identified the victim as Carmen Steele, 74 of Jerome.
UPDATE 11:11 AM Traffic is being diverted from Shoestring Road at Milepost 107 to 2000 South. According to Gooding County Sheriff Shaun Gough, there has been one confirmed fatal. The Idaho State Police say the road is completely blocked at this time.
Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Traffic between Wendell and Gooding is slowed at this time due to a traffic accident. According to the Idaho State Police, a passenger vehicle has collided with a semi truck possibly hauling hay. The accident is reported to be on Highway 46 near mile marker 109 at 2100 South.
Motorists traveling in the area should consider an alternate route. The accident was reported at about 10:15am.
