Buhl Shooting Suspect Arraigned

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A Buhl man accused of shooting at a police officer was arraigned in Twin Falls District Court Wednesday after being captured in Utah.

40 year-old Victor Soria-Navarrete is being charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and aggravated assault.

The shooting took place at 49 Manor Drive in Buhl last Tuesday the 22nd.

A Buhl Police Officer and a Twin Falls County Deputy responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

That’s when someone inside began firing at the officers with an assault rifle-style weapon.

Buhl Police Officer Benny Torres was pierced by an object in his back side during the incident.

Soria-Navarrete bail has been set at $1 million.
