UPDATE: Car Crashes Into Local High School, Strikes Gas Line

UPDATE: Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A man is cited for unsafe equipment after striking a gas line at a local high school, according to Sgt. David Fricke.

Idres Ibrahim, 33, told Twin Falls Police he was trying to make a u–turn when his brakes failed.

The crash happened Saturday evening around seven at Magic Valley High School.

Intermountain Gas dug up the ruptured gas line and repaired it.
The incident caused a nearby road to be closed for an hour.

UPDATE: The streets have now been re-opened.

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A car crashes into Magic Valley High School this evening and strikes the gas line. The school is located at 512 Main Avenue North in the downtown area.

Intermountain Gas is on the scene and emergency crews have blocked nearby streets.
