UPDATED INFORMATION: Afternoon Fire In Twin Falls Fully Contained

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) UPDATE 10:00PM: Rock Creek Fire says, the blaze was caused by a controlled burn that got out of control, roughly 60-80 acres burned. UPDATE 5:30PM - Crews have gained the upper hand on a fire that has burned brush in the Hidden Lakes Area. At this time we have no report of any structures damaged other than some wooden corrals. The fire has been contained according to a reporter on scene. UPDATE 5:05PM - Officials have begun evacuating homes in the Hidden Lakes area. Area roads leading into the area have been closed by the sheriffs office. UPDATE 4:43PM - According to a KMVT news reporter on scene the fire has jumped the fire line. BLM is sending a Dozer in addition to two trucks to the scene. Firefighters from the Rock Creek Fire District, The Bureau of Land Management and Twin Falls are working a blaze that is burning just above the Dierkes Lake Area along the canyon rim. Early reports are indicating the range fire is near the China Ridge and Hidden Lakes area. Fire officials are beginning the process of evacuating residents in the Hidden Lakes Subdivision . The fire is burning out of control on land near the homes. The BLM is responding with 2 attack engines at this time, according to Kyli Gough with the Bureau of Land Management.
