Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Firefighters from Burley and Heyburn spent some time this Tuesday afternoon battling a house fire. Officials say the fire was reported around 12:30 pm. Two people were in the home in the 1500 block of Almo Avenue when the neighbor alerted them of smoke pouring out of their attic. When the fire departments arrived, they determined the fire was burning in the attic and laundry room. The attic appears to be a total loss while there was fire damage in the laundry room and smoke had filtered throughout the rest of the house. Damage has been roughly estimated to be around $20,000. Firefighters say it took about 20 minutes to knock the flames down and another 30 minutes of mopping up.
