Hagerman Woman Charged With Lottery Ticket Fraud

Hagerman, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A Hagerman woman is in trouble with the law.

Amanda Lee Thompson, 29, was charged on Tuesday with seven counts of fraud on lottery tickets.

The Gooding County Sheriff tells us Thompson stole lottery tickets from where she worked at the Shell Station in Hagerman.

The tickets were not activated yet.

When Thompson tried to cash in the lottery tickets at a different store, they alerted the police.

Each felony count has a maximum punishment of 5 years or a fine of $25,000.

Thompson will be arraigned at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
