Hansen Area Residents Without Power
Hansen, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Hansen area residents are experiencing a power outage this afternoon. According to Idaho Power spokeswoman Stephanie McCurdy, 115 customers have been without power since about 12:30 this afternoon. At about 1:30 the Rock Creek Fire was called to a reported transformer and power pole on fire at 3550 North and 3800 East. The fire is out, according to Rock Creek Fire spokesman Taylor Hunsaker who said it was a main power line that fell to the ground. Power company workers are on scene to replace the pole and make necessary repairs. Those at the scene say it may be a couple of hours before power is fully restored. At this time it’s not known what caused fire.
