UPDATE: Gooding Man Shot In The Head

UPDATE: 12-14-13 1:30 p.m.: Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) According to Joshua Schlaich, a Boise hospital spokesman, Daniel Young is in critical condition.

UPDATE: A Hospital official with St. Alphonsus in Boise say the victim is in serious condition.

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Jerome Police are piecing together what happened late Wednesday night that ended with a person being shot in the head. According to Zoe Monahan with the City of Jerome, around 10:30 pm, police responded to a report that Daniel Young of Gooding had been dropped off at the local hospital with a gunshot wound to his head. The individual that dropped the victim off quickly left the area. After a short pursuit, the suspect was apprehended by police at the Kwik Service on West Main. The suspect was arrested for unrelated charges but remains a person of interest in the shooting, authorities say. Young was transported to Boise for treatment and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. Police are asking for your help.
