Local soldier injured in land mine explosion

TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (KMVT-TV) Local resident and Army Soldier Terrance (Bo) Jones was seriously injured Tuesday in Afghanistan when he stepped on a I.E.D. landmine. Jones father, Tim Jones tells KMVT news that his son lost both legs above the knee. One of his arms was severely injured but at this time it appears medics were able to save it, Jones said. The injured soldier was first taken to Kandahar where he was stabilized. He was then transported to the Landsthul Regional Medical Facility in Germany where he is currently being treated. Terrance graduated from the Twin Falls Alternative High school, joined the army in 2010 and was two months away from returning home his father said.
