UPDATED INFORMATION: Multi County Police Pursuit Ends In One Arrest

Jerome/Gooding, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Jerome/Gooding, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Jerome and Gooding County officers were involved in a High Speed pursuit this afternoon. It started at about 3:35pm in western Jerome County at 400 South and 400 West. Sgt . Rick Cowen with the Jerome County Sheriff’s office said a deputy was attempting to make a stop because of “erratic driving.” That’s when the driver identified as 25 year old Laura Niehay-Ansley left the scene. The chase ended about 20 minutes later when the car crashed into an irrigation pipe at 3600 East and 1950 South also known as Rex Leland road in Gooding County. At one point, speeds reached 105 miles per hour. Niehay-Ansley was the lone driver of the vehicle who led officers to a nearby canal before being taken into custody. Niehay-Ansley was wanted on two felony warrants from Twin Falls county. One was for possession of a controlled substance and the other for possession of forged checks.
