New City Administrator Appointed In Jerome

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) There's a new City Administrator for the City of Jerome.

Mike Williams was appointed to the position by the Jerome City Council Tuesday evening.

The City Council agreed to an annual salary of 85-thousand dollars. Williams will start in the new position on February 3.

Williams has been the Twin Falls Assistant City Manager since September of 2011.

The City Council chose Williams from a pool of 22 candidates.

Williams says he is excited to hit the ground running.

"Working in city administration and being part of a community is something that's always been very important to me. I've been fortunate to be in a position to hold a leadership role for the City of Twin Falls over the last couple years. Now I'm really excited to be able to work for the City of Jerome, my hometown,” he explains.

Williams also said he is excited to collaborate with the citizens of Jerome and the Jerome Chamber to be the best administrator possible.
