UPDATED INFORMATION: One Person Injured When Vehicle Rear Ends School Bus In Jerome County

Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Police say that James Clayton, 21 of Richfield was injured when his 1999 Dodge Neon ran into the rear of a School Bus, driven by Louise Lampman, 68 of Jerome. Both vehicles were southbound on U.S. Highway 93 near Mile Marker 63 in Jerome County. Authorities say Lampman had slowed down to make a right turn on 330 North when Clayton drove into the back of the bus. The bus was transporting three children police say. All on the bus escaped injury. Clayton who was not wearing his seat belt, was transported to St. Luke’s in Twin Falls for treatment. The southbound lane was blocked for about an hour. An extrication crew was called to the scene about 7:30am to rescue Clayton from his vehicle. The southbound lane was blocked for about an hour while crews worked to clear the scene.
