Paul Man Arrested On Stolen Property Charges

Rupert, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - What started out as a traffic stop ended with one man being arrested with charges of possession of stolen property. Minidoka County Sheriff Eric Snarr said they arrested Robert James May 29 of Paul on Wednesday April 16. The sheriff said there recently have been several vehicles, residential and business burglaries reported over the past few months in Minidoka County.

The sheriff said that deputies executed two separate search warrants and three separate voluntary consent searches. They were able to recover thousands of dollars of property and controlled substance.

Sheriff Snarr said that seven separate victims of the recent burglaries have identified some of their property that was in May’s possession.
May is currently being held at the Mini-Cassia Criminal Justice Center on a $100,500 bond.

The sheriff said the cases remain active and that more charges are pending.
