By Paul Johnson

Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Authorities in Cassia County say that the body of an adult male was located in the crawl space under the office of the Alpine Motel today. At this time positive identification has not been made and Sheriff Randy Kidd said that notification of family is pending as well. Kidd said that an autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine the cause and manner of death. Earlier this month police said Russ Taft was unaccounted for and Sheriff Kidd “feared he may be the victim of a violent act.” The sheriff’s department said they were continuing their investigation into a “suspicious” incident at the motel. Sheriff Kidd at that time said several search warrants were issued, and were trying to locate a person of interest that worked at the motel. James Duane Ambrose, 54 has a felony warrant out of Cassia County for Grand Theft with a bond of $250,000. Earlier this month he had been spotted in the Las Vegas area. He is suspected of stealing an automobile from the Alpine Motel.
