Police Find Large Number Of Drugs Following Traffic Stop

Idaho Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Idaho State Police say they arrested a Nevada man after they stopped his vehicle earlier today. Deangelo L. Hankston, 31 of North Las Vegas Nevada was stopped by police for a traffic violation while traveling north on Interstate 15 near milepost 118 in Bonneville County. As officers began to gather information about the driver, they discovered he had a suspended driver’s license and further investigation revealed he recently had been smoking marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed 1,784 Oxycodone pills, and 195 Hycrocodone pills with an estimated street value of approximately $55,000. Hankston was booked into the Bonneville County Jail for driving without privileges, possession of marijuana and 2 felony counts of intent to deliver Hydrocodone and Oxycodone pills. Idaho State police along with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s office with a K-9 drug dog assisted in the investigation.
