UPDATE: New Details Emerge In Amber Alert

UPDATE: San Diego County, California ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) San Diego County has confirmed that Ethan Anderson was found dead at the crime scene in California.

An Amber Alert was issued on August 3rd when Hannah and Ethan Anderson were abducted from the City of Boulevard, San Diego County, California.

ORIGINAL STORY: Cascade, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - New information on the search for James DiMaggio and Hannah Anderson in Cascade.

Officials are looking in a remote, mountainous area of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in central Idaho.

A media briefing was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Cascade Fire Department.

According to Andrea Dearden with the Valley County Sheriff’s Office, all of the agencies that they expect to call in are on the ground at this time.

Agencies working on the search include: The Valley County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshals Office, Bureau of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Idaho Army National Guard, Idaho State Police, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho Fish and Game.

Most arrived on Saturday morning. The crews will have a place to stay and sleep. Officials said their safety is the top priority. There are 150 FBI agents from various locations including Portland and Salt Lake City.

At this point, officials do not have a night time plan. Dearden said it sounds like operations will be suspended overnight. However, they will continue again on Sunday.

Dearden said there has been no issue with public interaction. There are people that are utilizing the recreation areas. There have been no reported problems.

There are now 200 people helping out in the search.

The search perimeter remains around 300 square miles.

There will be another briefing on Saturday evening. We will have more information as to what time that media briefing will be when it becomes available.
