UPDATE: State Controller Donna Jones in Stable Condition
UPDATE: According to our sister station, KBOI in Boise, Donna Jones is responsive, stable and recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
ORIGINAL STORY: Near Heyburn, Idaho (KMVT-TV) State Controller Donna Jones has been injured in a car crash.
According to Chief of Staff, Brandon Woolf, the accident happened Friday afternoon in the Mini–Cassia area on Interstate–84.
For unknown reasons, the 73–year old's Cadillac Escalade went off the side of the road. Idaho State Police say she over corrected and the vehicle rolled.
After first being taken to Minidoka Memorial Hospital, she was later air lifted to St. Alphonsus in Boise.
Jones' family told the office she is conscious, awake and communicating.
Jones was wearing a seat-belt and the crash is still under investigation.
