JEROME, IDAHO (KMVT-TV) Three people were arraigned in a Jerome Courtroom today following a police standoff Sunday in a Jerome neighborhood. Rogelio Mendoza, 43, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting and obstructing an officer. Ayde Demara-Lozano, 50 and Edgar Francisco Salazar, 22, were both charged with resisting and obstructing an officer. Authorities say Mendoza had an earlier warrant for his arrest and has a border patrol hold. Police say the incident started after shots rang out at a nearby nightclub. Police say they spent several hours trying to negotiate with the people inside, but to no avail. That's when police entered the house. The two people who lived at the home are not in custody and are not facing charges at this time.
