Twin Falls man arrested on kidnapping, assault charges

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) About 10:15 Wednesday morning, Twin Falls County Sheriff's deputies responded to 3274 East, 3225 North for a possible domestic disturbance.

Eventually, deputies discovered the parties had left and ended up at a home on Kimes Avenue.

Numerous agencies including the Twin Falls County Crisis Negotiation Team responded.

34–year old Thomas Chaput Sr. eventually surrendered after police reached him by phone.

Chaput faces second degree kidnapping, aggravated assault with a weapon and two counts of felony domestic battery.

He's being held on a $250,000 bond.
