Two Separate Stabbing Incidents Keep Authorities Busy Overnight In Bonneville County

Bonneville County, Idaho  ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV )  -  Bonneville County Authorities were busy overnight investigating two separate stabbing incidents. 


In the Lava Hot Springs Area Bannock County Deputies are investigating a stabbing at Bristol park, just south of the “KOA Kampground” around 8pm Tuesday, on the east side of town.  The stabbing victim was transported by life flight to the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.  At last check, one man in Lava Hot springs is being questioned.  Deputies say they recovered a knife.  At this point it’s unknown how many people were involved or what led to the stabbing.

Bannock county sheriff's office says Cameron Hattendorf was arrested for aggravated battery.

Officials aren't releasing any further information.

No other arrests were made.


Then at about 11:15 pm, authorizes were sent to an apartment 1438 West 97 South.  Bonneville County Sherriff Sgt. Jeff Edwards said they are looking for Ron Myers, 48 of Idaho Falls.  He is wanted for questioning in a stabbing incident that left his son injured.  According to authorities Ron was staying in an apartment above a horse arena.  His son and wife were visiting with him.  He became upset following a phone call.  According to a report, he pointed a gun at his wife.  Paul, his son, stepped in between them and was stabbed in the left arm. 


Deputy Edwards said they spent much of the night searching the area but couldn’t find Ron. 

Ron Meyers is described as 5 feet 9, 175 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. 

Authorities ask that you call the sheriff’s office at 529-1200 if you can help locate Ron.
