Two Teens Hospitalized Following Crash In Jerome County

Jerome County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Two teenagers from Jerome were taken to the hospital following Saturday night's crash.

Idaho State Police say that Ricardo Rodriguez-Resendiz, 18, of Jerome was headed west on I-84 in a Mazda 6. Police say the vehicle went into a slide, left the roadway and went down an embankment.

The car ended up going through a fence, across a canal before rolling into a field.

His passengers, Jerome resident Karina Saguino, also 18, and a 17 year old were both ejected.

Sanguino was air-lifted to St. Luke's Magic Valley. Rodriguez-Resendiz and the 17 year old passenger were transported to St. Lukes Magic Valley by ground ambulance.

According to St. Luke's, Sanguino is in fair condition.

No one in the car wore seatbelts, police say.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
