Victim Who Died As Result Of Vehicle Accident Near Rupert Identified
UPDATE: The Idaho State police has identified the victim from the crash. Authorities say Darwin R. Davis, 66 of Rupert was eastbound on State Highway 24 just past the intersection of Sate Highway 25 when his vehicle veered left into the westbound lanes. The pickup struck a curb, continuing on through a chain link fence. Davis's vehicle struck agriculture equipment on a private lot and came to a rest on its right side. Davis was transported to the Minidoka Memorial hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The two westbound lanes of State Highway 24 were blocked till about 12:30 pm.
TRAFFIC ALERT: The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a one-vehicle rollover crash on State Highway 24 at approximately 3.5 where Highway 24 intersects with State Highway 25 south of Rupert. Both lanes of SH24 are currently blocked and officers are encouraging travelers to seek a different route of travel at this time.
Rupert, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A one Vehicle Accident near Rupert this Monday morning has claimed the life of one person. The Idaho State Police, Rupert City and Minidoka County authorities were called to the scene where a pickup had rolled. Police were dispatched to the scene just after 9:30 am. The pickup rolled on its side Near Highway 24 and Highway 25. Details are sketchy at this time and the State Police are in the process of notifying next of kin.
