Pine/Featherville, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The fire burning near Pine, Idaho is still marked at 131,046 acres, that’s no change from yesterday. Throughout the fire area, firefighters will patrol and mop-up all heat that poses a threat to the containment lines or any structures. Unnecessary equipment and trash will be removed. Hot, dry conditions are forecast for today, with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be in the high 80’s. Minimum relative humidity is expected to be 14-18 percent. Light up-valley and upslope winds will range from 7-11mph. Under the guidance of Forest Service resource advisors, fire crews will restore constructed containment lines by placing debris, limbs, and displaced soil to help conceal them. Where needed, water bars will be constructed to divert flowing water and prevent erosion.
