Ketchum, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Fire officials for the Beaver Creek Fire say no fire behavior was observed yesterday, though limited smoke remains visible inside the perimeter. The fire now totals 111,408 acres and is 92% contained. The number of personnel working on the fire continues to drop daily. Today 654 remain on scene. Crews are working closely with resource advisors to remove logs and restore dozer and hand lines.

A red flag warning is in effect today for thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds. This threat persists through Sunday; debris flow from storm activity is possible. The team will maintain staffing of five helicopters to continue support of containment efforts.

A public meeting to discuss the current fire situation and plans for rehabilitation will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Big Wood, 100 Saddle Rd. in Ketchum. A second meeting is scheduled for tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at the Community Campus, 1050 Fox Acres Rd. in Hailey.
