Latest Outage Report Due To Area Fires From Idaho Power

By Paul Johnson

Southern Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - As of this afternoon, officials with Idaho Power are reporting that in the Elk Complex fire area, 557 customers are without power. As far as the Pony Complex fire 2 customers remain without service and less than ten customers are without power in the Ketchum Sun Valley Beaver Complex fire. Idaho Power crews are waiting to hear what the Blaine County Disaster and Forest service officials want them to do. Kevin Winslow with Idaho Power said that the company will comply with all requests made to them by county and federal fire officials.
The City of Ketchum is under a pre-evacuation order by the sheriff’s office which means residents will need to be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.

In the areas they have been allowed to return, Power company workers are establishing power to the customers who have been without service. Some have been without power for a week now.
