Mountain Fire Reaches 8,000 Acres, 10% Containment

Palm Springs, California ( CNN ) - You're looking at the smoldering debris left behind by a huge wildfire in Southern California.
The so-called Mountain Fire is being blamed for this destruction in Palm Springs.
The wildfire was sparked Monday and already has burned 8,000 acres.
It was only 10% contained as of this afternoon (Tuesday).
Firefighters have issued mandatory evacuations for people living in two dozens homes near the fire site.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
