Tuolumne County, California (CNN) - Wildfire threatens thousands of buildings near Yosemite National Park, as a number of fires continue to burn in the western United States.
The rim fire is nearly out of control, as firefighters have only managed to establish about five-percent containment.
So far, it has burned more than 25 square miles in the Stanislaus national forest.
The area is fairly remote, but the fire still threatens about 25-hundred structures.
It has led to the evacuation of thousands of people from campgrounds and private homes.
