Nampa Fire Department Captain Attacked While Riding Bike

Meridian, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Imagine riding your bike when you are suddenly attacked. That’s what happened to Nampa Fire Department Captain Chris Cade Thursday. Cade suffered multiple broken bones in his face, a broken scapula, broken clavicle and a broken rib that punctured a lung. Police allege that the captain was attacked by Sean Carnell. The incident happened in Meridian. Chris Cade, 46, is a 16 year Nampa Fire veteran. According to reports, he will have reconstructive surgery on his face. Reports say he may have been attacked with a skateboard.

Doug Strosnider, the Deputy Fire Chief for the Nampa Fire Department, said he is guessing it will be four to six months before Chris will be able to return to the job he loved to do. Right now they are talking about having to perform multiple surgeries to his face.
