Phoenix, Arizona (CNN) - Next week Jodi Arias will be one step closer to learning her sentence.
A date for the retrial of the penalty phase of her case could be set at a hearing scheduled for Monday.
An Arizona jury convicted arias of first degree murder in may, but she hasn't been sentenced.
That's because a mistrial was declared when the penalty phase ended with a hung jury.
The first degree murder conviction still stands and so does jurors' findings that arias murdered Travis Alexander in a cruel manner.
When the retrial begins a new jury will be selected.
They will only make a decision on whether arias will be sentenced to death by lethal injection or life in prison.
