UPDATE 3:40PM - Authorities in Idaho have canceled the Amber alert that was sent out late last week. According to the latest information provided by the state of Idaho: “Information from various sources indicate Aaliyah is no longer in Idaho.”

Idaho Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - An Amber Alert is still active as authorities continue their search for a missing five year old girl. Police say Aaliyah Alynn Esqueda was allegedly kidnapped by her grandparents in Idaho Falls.

Debra and Scott Yagues, the legal guardians of Aaliyah Alynn Esqueda, 5, allowed her paternal grandparents, Salvador Esqueda and Irene Ma Esqueda, to visit with Aaliyah on Tuesday.
According to the legal guardians, the Esquedas were supposed to return Aaliyah on Sunday.

The Yagues got information Friday via Facebook through one of the Esquedas' relatives that the grandparents were taking Aaliyah to her father in Mexico. Police said that information appears to be accurate.
Aaliyah and her paternal grandparents left on a bus from Idaho Falls around 11 p.m. Thursday, which lead police to believe that the family had no intentions on returning the child to the Yagues.

Aaliyah is Hispanic, is 3'5” tall, weighs 50 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. It's unknown what she is wearing.

Second-degree kidnapping warrants have been issued for Salvador Esqueda, 74, and Irene Ma Esqueda 71. Salvadore Esqueda is Hispanic, is 5’5” tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes. Irene Ma Esqueda is Hispanic, is 5’4” tall, weighs 178 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information concerning this case should call the Idaho Falls Police Department at (208) 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
