Falling Tree Shuts Power Off For Much Of Downtown Jerome

UPDATE 1:22PM - Power has been restored to all customers, according to Idaho Power.

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Idaho Power crews are attempting to restore service to much of the center of Jerome today. This after a tree fell on power lines along 6th Avenue East about 11 am this morning. According to Idaho Power spokesman Brad Bowlin, all of downtown Jerome and portions of the surrounding area is dark. Officials say they are attempting to make repairs but there is no timeline as they access the damage. About 1373 customers are currently without service.
