Prominent Republican Party Member And Vice President Of Melaleuca Injured In Plane Crash

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho ( KIFI-TV) - One of the men on-board a plane that crashed Thursday in field south of the Idaho Falls airport is a prominent member of the National Republican Party.
Damond Watkins, 40, a vice president at Melaleuca , was one of three men on the plane. He reported has having extensive spinal injuries.
Justin Manwaring, 36, and Bradley Hone, 35 were also on the plane. Hone was piloting. They were not injured as seriously as Watkins.
The plane crashed just before 4 p.m. Thursday in a field on the 1000 block of 35th West.
According to the FAA Registry, the plane was heading back to Idaho Falls from Pocatello and was in Boise earlier in the day. Sources tell us the men were attending a meeting with the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.
Bonneville County Sheriff's office said the NTSB is handling the investigation.
