Amtrak Southeast Route In Jeopardy

Albuquerque, New Mexico (CNN) - Albuquerque, New Mexico could lose its Amtrak service if it doesn't fix a growing problem.
Hundreds of miles of rail need repair
Amtrak says the southwest chief route which starts in Chicago, runs through New Mexico and ends in Los Angeles Could be rerouted by 2016.
The rail service says that's because the tracks are in such dire need of repair.
Rail rider Adrian Gurule says he takes train trips at least five times a year to visit family.
Amtrak takes the headache out of traveling and you feel more comfortable where you're going.
Amtrak says the track and roadbed wear out and need to be replaced....otherwise the tracks could be too unsafe and dangerous for passengers.
