Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN) - A 42-year-old Utah man is accused of plotting a mass shooting and bus bombing in salt lake city.
According to court documents, jack harry stiles planned to "randomly shoot and kill" at a salt lake city mall, then pick off moviegoers before planting a bomb under a city bus.
The documents allege stiles gave details of the suspected plot to a "crisis worker" at a hospital -- who then alerted police.
"He had certainly taken steps to go physically look where the exits were, what was the best place to hide, what was the best place to do the things he wanted to do."
Stiles has been charged with making a terrorist threat involving the use of a hoax and a real "weapon of mass destruction."
He's being held on a million-dollar bail.
