San Fran Transit Halted By Mass Sickout
San Francisco, California (CNN) - A massive sickout has led to delays for San Francisco commuters who rely on public transportation.
A large number of workers at the city's municipal transportation agency called out sick Monday.
They are reportedly unhappy with a proposed labor agreement.
Cable car service has been shut down.
And according to local media, a majority of muni's six hundred busses are not operating...leading to long lines and frustration.
"i would just like to get to work on time. It's a little frustrating i think for everyone here."
Commuters are being advised to seek alternate modes of transportation.
Bay area rapid transit -- or BART -- is accepting muni fares for trips within the city.
