Carlton Complex Fires Grow To 7,300 Acres In Washington State

Twisp, Washington (CNN) - A series of four fires in Washington State known as the Carlton complex fire has grown to more than seven thousand acres.
It has destroyed at least two homes near the town of Twisp and there are reports of more homes destroyed in Pateros.
Authorities ordered the evacuation of Pateros and Brewster -- including a hospital.
Jeff Van Sant spoke with some residents as they evacuated from Twisp, one describing the fire as "the cauldron of hell."
