Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The 29th annual Festival of Trees got underway this afternoon inside the historic Ballroom in downtown Twin Falls.

The three-day festival of trees is an annual event to raise money for healthcare needs in the Magic Valley.

During the event, individuals or businesses can purchase, decorate, display and donate an artificial tree, wreath, centerpiece or handmade quilts.

The festival kicked off on Thursday night with the annual Gala Dinner and ceremonial lighting of the trees.

“Well tonight that happened is people come in and they look at the trees, they have a chance to bid on the tree of their choice and then they’re going to have a little entertainment and were also going to have a program, a short program, that talks about why were raising the funds.”
Said Terry Rowe from the Festival Of Trees.

The festival will continue over the weekend.

Friday is senior day from 10AM until 9PM, with entertainment all day.

Saturday is Children’s day from 10AM until 6PM, entertainment until 4.

Saturday night is also ladies night from 7 to 10.

The festival wraps up on Sunday with family day from 10 to 5, with entertainment lasting all day.
