Kimberly, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Saturday night was the first of two performances of the Easter Cantata put on by the LDS church in Kimberly.
The service featured a local sixty person choir and an orchestra from around the valley.
The performers started working and rehearsing in March and are proud to share their talent with the community.
The performance is directed by John Hunt and showcases 140 paintings on a slide show that accompanies the music.
We spoke to one member James Coombs about how wonderful he feels the show is for the local community.
“It's just been a wonderful opportunity to allow the people that live in the Kimberly community to showcase their musical talents and celebrate the life and mission of Jesus Christ. And it's allowed lots of different people to participate or to play in the orchestra or to sing."
The second performance will be Sunday evening at the LDS church building on 3500 East in Kimberly.
At 7 PM and is open to the public.
