Ambrose Charged: Murder In The First Degree

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A Burley man accused of brutally murdering another was in court this Tuesday for his initial arraignment hearing.

James Duane Ambrose is accused of killing Ruff Taft and stuffing his body in a crawl space.

This incident took place back in May of 2012 at the former Alpine Inn in Burley.

After the Incident Ambrose fled the state and was later arrested in Las Vegas on a home invasion charge.

This Tuesday he was back in Burley and was officially charged with one count of murder in the first degree and one count of felony grand theft.

Ambrose entered a not guilty plea on both charges.

According to Ambrose's attorney, they will back in court on August 13th for a change of plea hearing.
