Boise Police Arrest Kidnap Suspect

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Boise Police say that on Wednesday about 7:30 pm they arrested a man who had a one million dollar warrant for kidnapping his young child and fleeing the state of South Dakota. Jared S. Sweets, 24 is not the custodial parent of the child authorities say.
Sioux Falls Police Department had contacted the Boise Police Department to check in the area of Overland and Cole Roads for the subject traveling through. The vehicle was located by a Boise Police Officer in that are. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. An arrest was made without incident. The child was located safe inside the vehicle. Officers turned the child over to the custody of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare awaiting for family to arrive to take over custody.
A female identified as Tabitha Lancaster, 26, was with Swets at the time of his arrest. She was charged with accessory to kidnapping.
