By KMVT News

Rupert, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The City of Rupert and the Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization are being recognized nationally for the recruitment of Frulact.

Trade and Industry Development gave the city the Corporate Investment and Community Impact Award.

Flulact is opening its first operation in North America and chose Rupert as its site.

Thanks to that achievement, Rupert was selected from over 400 submissions.

The award recognizes projects that will make a big impact on the community.

"I think what's important about this award for the city is that it will be noticed by site selectors throughout the United States, and perhaps the world. It draws attention to the fact that not only is Rupert an excellent place to live and raise a family, but it's an excellent place to do business," explains Rupert City Administrator Kelly Anthon.

The City of Rupert was one of 15 finalists to receive the award, and the only city from the northwest.
