Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The World Ag Expo was an opportunity for agricultural companies to show off new high-tech products that may change the way those in the agriculture industry do business.
In this week's segment of Grow Southern Idaho, we take a look at one product giving farmers a bird’s eye view of their crops.
Eyes in the sky for farmers - that's what this agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle will provide.
Jared Siegler created this product.
He says the three pound, 19 inch drone can record HD video and take high-resolution still photos, and it has enough battery life to cover about 150 acres - giving farmers a bird's eye view of their crops.
He says it will be a tool for farmers to better assess potential problems and solutions.
It's just one of the award-winning products out of the 15 hundred exhibitors at the World Ag Expo.
Now in its 47th year, the farm show has grown exponentially.
