UPDATE: Man Succombs To Injuries Following Accident At Dierkes Lake
UPDATE: 11:08 AM – The Twin Falls County sheriff’s office say that 42 year old Chen Peir-Horng succumb to his injuries late Sunday night. He was rescued from the swimming area of Dierkes Lake.
Rescue Personnel Responded to the lake at 4:30 pm after friends of the victim said he had gone underwater and not resurfaced. Two members of the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Dive Team happened to be in the area training and quickly responded. They located Mr. Peir-Horng within two minutes of diving. CPR was performed and he was transported to the hospital where he died several hours later.
UPDATE: Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The man is in critical condition. A spokesman for the Twin Falls Police Department originally told KMVT the man was dead.
The drowning victim has been moved to ICU at St. Luke's Magic Valley.
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A man drowned Sunday afternoon at Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls.
Just before 4:00 pm lifeguards on duty at the lake were notified that the forty three year old man was missing. Lifeguards immediately began the search for the man and called emergency dispatch.
Police officers and search and rescue located the body of the man just before 5:00 pm. Paramedics began performing CPR and transported him to St Luke’s Magic Valley where he was pronounced dead.
