Harsin Acknowledges Player Mistakes; Emphasizes Consequences

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV) Tailback Derrick Thomas is no longer on the Boise State Football Team.

Derrick Thomas was dismissed for a violation of team rules, according to Coach Bryan Harsin.

During Mountain West Media Days, reporters asked Harsin about player expectations.

Those guys are 18-22, yeah, they're going to make mistakes. We have a standard, we have expectations that each of one of those guys understands. If these things happen, there's consequences for every action," adds Harsin.

Thomas was a junior college transfer from Butler Community College in Kansas and was expected to compete for the backup job in Fall Camp.

This isn't the first time Thomas has been dismissed, he was suspended from the season opener and bowl game last year.
