Haunted Tour Gets the Green Light
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Twin Falls Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on a proposed amendment to a special use permit Tuesday night.
The amendment was brought to the commission from the owners of Magic Valley Flight Simulation; otherwise, known as "Zip the Snake."
The amendment allows the operation to remain open until 1 a.m. no more than 10 days out of the year.
The idea came about from request to hold a "Haunted Desert" zip line tour the week of Halloween.
Here’s how it would work…
"Were going to use helmets... were going to have these little lights on them, on the front and the back so we can see the riders coming as they come in on the lines. Glow sticks on the arms and the legs, were thinking about lighting up your feet and hands go we know which end is up when you're coming in on the tower. And were going to encourage costumes and glow–in–the–dark body paint," said Jody Tatum, Zip the Snake.
The haunted tours would be a pre–registration ticketed event.
The plan is to hold multiple tours the 5 nights leading up to Halloween.
