Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) As the Beaver Creek Complex Fire moves closer to the cities of Hailey and Ketchum.

Residents are on the edge and concerned about their homes.
It's a minute-by-minute ordeal, as flames come down the mountain, homeowners wonder what's next.

"People are just hopeful that the community is going to be preserved and that homes won't be damaged. Everyone has a positive attitude, this is really scary but we are trusting the firefighters are going to do a good job and we hope it continues that way” said Liz Roquet, Hailey homeowner.

Liz Roquet never thought she would actually see flames get so close to her home.

David Morgan lives down the road from and he describes the beaver creek complex fire as surreal.

"It's beyond all what you think a fire is, it's so much more intense than the castlerock fire seemed to be day after day,” said David Morgan, Hailey resident.

With firefighters actively working the flames, Morgan is concerned most about spot fires and embers getting into neighborhoods.

"I think there is a lot of fear and concern on what is going to happen. I think there is a lot of trust in the firefighters to do their job. With the wind and heat it's a little nerve-racking” said Morgan.

A scary sight to see for homeowners, while firefighters try to gain the upper hand on flames.
